How P2P trading works
On CoinHubX you trade with another person, not with the platform. The seller's crypto sits in escrow while the buyer pays, and it is released when both sides confirm. Here is the whole trade, step by step.
Pick an offer
Choose the coin, the currency you want to pay in and a payment method. Each offer shows the price, the minimum and maximum, and the seller's completed-trade history.
Open the trade
Enter the amount. The seller's crypto moves into escrow straight away, so it can't be sold to anyone else while you pay.
Pay the seller
Pay using the method on the offer, then mark the trade as paid. The payment goes directly to the seller; CoinHubX never holds your money.
Seller confirms
When the seller sees your payment, they release the escrow. The crypto lands in your CoinHubX wallet.
If something goes wrong
Either side can open a dispute. A CoinHubX mediator reviews the trade chat and the proof of payment, and the escrow is released to whoever is in the right.
Three habits that keep trades clean
- Only pay through the trade page's payment method, and keep the proof.
- Chat stays inside the trade, so there is a record if a dispute is opened.
- Never release escrow before the money has arrived in your account.
